Julia Shallcrass

Director Julia Shallcrass is a qualified employment and privacy lawyer with a passion for training.

She brings 15+ years’ experience as a lawyer, plus experience lecturing in Human Resources and Business Communication for tertiary institutions, to her corporate training. As founder of KiwiBoss, Julia is adept at upskilling leaders and teams throughout New Zealand.

A recognised thought leader in HR, she is an employment columnist for the New Zealand Herald.

So, she knows her stuff. But what sets her apart is her style of delivery.

Julia speaks in plain English, so she is easy to understand. She presents with empathy and humour, and is engaging, fun and friendly.

Her participants feel like they can ask her questions, and her answers are clear and concise.

Kathryn Jenkins

Kathryn Jenkins is an experienced Facilitator and HR Consultant for KiwiBoss. Kathryn was selected for the Human Resources Director NZ Rising Stars 2020 list.

She has a degree in Psychology and Sociology, and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. She works as an HR Manager for a company in Christchurch.

With expertise in HR, Kathryn has lectured for a tertiary organisation in HR and management. Kathryn has eight years of experience as a team manager in the UK.

She is passionate about creating an engaging workplace that gets the best out of its people, in an environment that is positive and productive.

An experienced facilitator, Kathryn presents on a wide range of HR issues such as flexible working, workplace policies and essential HR practices.

Kerryn Douglas

Kerryn Douglas is an experienced Payroll Consultant and Trainer, who co-presents Holidays Act courses with KiwiBoss.

Kerryn is also the director of Pay Check, where she is a payroll consultant, who specialises in payroll education and consulting.

Kerryn delivers on-on-one as well as group training sessions to businesses and through the Southern Institute of Technology. She helps organisations understand the legislation that governs payroll and create better payroll practices.

Kerryn has presented for CCH Learning, TEO, and to school administrators to help improve their understanding following the Novapay issues.

With over 17 years of payroll experience and having processed more than 200 client payrolls, Kerryn knows the importance of payroll compliance and efficiency.
